My Christmas Card.....

....on my One-Gramma's blog which I haven't kept up to date but I plan to, I promise. Anyway, I'm proud to be a grandmother and I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. This is one of my favorite "grandma" pictures so I wanted to include it.

I have sent out some cards......but this is just a place to add more pictures that I couldn't add to a card and to send my Holiday Wishes to anyone that visits this site. As I've gone through a timeline of this past year, it's interesting all that I've been able to cram in....and I know it will be hard to match it next year but I'll probably try. I started and ended off the year with trips to Disneyland and a trip to Disney World in between. I've been to Kentucky at least 4 times, Austin, Texas with girlfriends and Seattle to visit a friend from school days in Pullman. I re-connected with at least 10 people from my past and had some great family time in Pine Valley, Lake Powell, and, of course, Disneyland and Disney World. Spencer and Shana and family were able to come for a brief visit and I've had visits from Traci and Russ and family and I've been up there a few times. The greatest news of all has been the birth of little Matilyn Kay to Kyle and JoEllen and the engagement of Lauri and James. It has been a blessed year indeed. ***************************************************
I'm posting some pictures of my kids with their families. Kyle is holding my newest grand child, little Matty. I love this picture of total contentment. They both are loving Disneyland.
James Stewart asked Lauri to marry him and she said "yes" and we are thrilled for them. May 1 is the date.....mark it on your calendar.
Not many pictures of Traci and Russ and their boys. This is from last year. I'll post an up-dated one as soon as I can get one. They are busy as Russ is trying to finish up his Masters Degree. Scotty and Jake keep Traci pretty busy.
Mason, Mandy and their 3......

Kyle, JoEllen and their 4....
Spencer and Shana and their 4.....

May your days be merry and bright......

We strolled Temple Square last Sunday anticipating the arrival of little brother Jake....Little did Scott know he was soon to be "de-throned"......and.........get a new baby brother for his birthday and a day to be remembered (or reminded of) forever. Happy Birthday #2 Scotty and Welcome to the World, Little Jake. Good times.....

Some random pics of my Kentucky kids....

I just got back from Mason's graduation and welcoming his little son into the world so I thought I'd add some pictures of things I got to enjoy with my grand children while I was there. I got to see McKay's soccer game and go to his last day of school picnic; I saw one of Drew's soccer scrimmages and his last soccer game; I saw Maycee's walk to Gattyland on one of her last of school adventures; I went to Laynee's cheerleader practice and tryouts (BTW, she made the squad); and I got to see Drew and Laynee drive off in a limousine on their way to Red Robin for lunch because they reached a reading goal throughout the year (a really hard reading goal) and I enjoyed playing with the boys on a tree that had fallen down in front of their neighbor's apartment. They thought it was a fine jungle gym; and we got in one trip to McDonald's and a lot of play time. I had a really fine time......

Laynee Jane

My first grandchild; beautiful and kind. She lets me win at cards and loves to shop with me. She's a top student, takes gymnastics, is a big help to her mom and has taken to the piano like no other. Every time I hear her play I'm amazed at how well she is doing and how quickly she has progressed. She's growing up so quickly but still loves being a kid. Littlest Pet Shops are what she collects and knows all of them by name. (She has well over 75 at last count). She's a great "big sis" to 3 little brothers.

George

George truly is "one of a kind" and never a dull moment with this kid around. He has truly been "curious George" from day one and can figure anything out and wants to know how everything works. If he doesn't want to listen to you he has the luxury of turning his hearing aids off. He's definitely enthusiastic about life and loves to meet new people. Everyone is George's friend. I've loved being his piano teacher and I love that he can even sing the songs he learns to play.....

Drew (Andrew too...but mostly Drewby...)

A sweeter boy you will never meet; loves to play ball (all kinds but says he likes basketball best and has a mean slam dunk), loves to smile and has a very tender heart. He plays on a soccer league, a basketball league and soon will start baseball. He's an ideal student and does his very best at everything he tries. He doesn't like losing when we play cards....but then again, who does? He'll always be Drewby to me.....
